Las Playitas
White houses, blue stripes, fresh fish
Las Playitas is still a fishing village: small white houses with blue stripes along a seaside path, a volcanic-sand beach and restaurants serving the day's catch. Line 12 links it with Gran Tarajal several times a day; on line 1 only the trips keyed “Entra en las Playitas” come into the village.

Getting to Las Playitas
TIADHE line 1 runs between Puerto del Rosario and Morro Jable, and only trips keyed “Entra en las Playitas” (they enter Las Playitas) come into the village: the line 1 map for those trips has the stops Los Hoteles, Arriba Parque and Campo Futbol Py in both directions. No other line 1 map has them. Every line 1 map also has a stop named CR 2 LAS PLAYI, about 3 km from the village: it is not in Las Playitas.

Before you settle in
Keep the way home in mind.
Line 1 has separate Monday-to-Friday, Saturday and Sundays-and-holidays tables. For the trip back, look for one keyed “Entra en las Playitas” on your day: other line 1 trips do not come into the village, and the stop CR 2 LAS PLAYI is about 3 km from it.

The lighthouse is not a bus trip
Visit Fuerteventura places the La Entallada lighthouse six kilometres from the village with no bus; it is a taxi or a tour, not a walk this site has measured.
A little introduction
Get to know Las Playitas.
Las Playitas, in the south-east of the island close to Gran Tarajal, keeps the essence of Fuerteventura’s traditional coastal towns and the charm of a small fishing village. Small white houses with blue stripes line a seaside path along the shore, and the local restaurants serve the catch of the day.
Why go
-
A fishing village that still is one
It keeps the feel of the island's old coastal towns, and the fish on the restaurant menus came in that morning.
-
A volcanic beach with water sports
On one side the harbour, on the other a long beach of volcanic sand for windsurfing and other sports.
-
Line 12, a line of its own
Gran Tarajal – Las Playitas runs its own weekday, Saturday and Sunday tables, so the village no longer depends on line 1's keyed trips alone.

La Entallada lighthouse, six kilometres on
The La Entallada lighthouse stands six kilometres from the village, with wide sea views, and beside it the Cuchillos de Vigán, a mountain range declared a Natural Monument. No bus goes there: it is a long walk out and back, or the view from the village.
- Beach
Two villages in one: harbour side, beach side
The village has two quite different halves: the fishing harbour on one side, a long volcanic-sand beach with windsurfing on the other. Eat by the boats, swim or sail from the sand.
