Fuerteventura day trips by bus from each resort

Day trips by bus from Corralejo, Caleta de Fuste, Costa Calma and Morro Jable: where you change in Puerto del Rosario, where a boat or tour is honest.

Your bus, at a glance

Fuerteventura's day trips by bus follow one pattern: Puerto del Rosario is the hinge, and most trips from a resort are either a direct line along the coast or a change at the capital's bus station. From Corralejo, line 8 reaches El Cotillo and line 6 the capital; from Caleta de Fuste, line 3 to the station and then line 2 to Betancuria or line 6 to Corralejo; from Costa Calma and Morro Jable, line 5 between the two, line 10 or 1 north, line 111 from Morro Jable to Cofete, and lines 1 and 12 to Gran Tarajal and Las Playitas. Lobos is a boat from Corralejo with the Cabildo's permit, Lanzarote a ferry from the same harbour, Gran Canaria a ferry from Morro Jable. Each destination page says which applies and carries the dated board for the way back.

The practical part

The essentials

  1. From Corralejo

El Cotillo on line 8 is the simplest outing: the village, its lagoons, surf beaches and the Tostón lighthouse are walks from the stop, not stops. Puerto del Rosario on line 6, with the dunes of the natural park along the way, and from the station line 2 to Betancuria on a trip keyed for your day. Lobos is a boat from the harbour with the Cabildo's permit booked ahead; Playa Blanca on Lanzarote is a ferry from the same harbour, with its own guide here.

  2. From Caleta de Fuste

Line 3 is the way to everything: north to the airport and Puerto del Rosario's station, where line 6 continues to Corralejo and line 2 to Betancuria, or south to Las Salinas and its Salt Museum on the same line. Caleta de Fuste to Corralejo and back is one change each way, every day; Caleta de Fuste to Betancuria is line 3 then a line 2 trip keyed for your day, with three trips a day each way on line 2. Both have a journey guide with the board.

  3. From Costa Calma and Morro Jable

Line 5 links the two resorts along Jandía's beaches, with trips marked Monday to Friday running only between Esquinzo and Morro Jable. Line 111 from Morro Jable crosses the unpaved track to Cofete and Punta de Jandía twice a day each way, seats not reservable and the return printed only as an estimate. Line 1 runs north to Gran Tarajal, Antigua's valley and the capital on separate weekday, Saturday and Sunday tables; Las Playitas is line 12 from Gran Tarajal or a line 1 trip keyed “Entra en las Playitas”. Gran Canaria is a ferry from Morro Jable's harbour.

  4. From Puerto del Rosario

Every line starts at the bus station: 6 to Corralejo, 7 to El Cotillo, 2 to Betancuria and Vega de Río Palmas, 1 and 10 south, 3 to the airport and Caleta de Fuste, 16 to Gran Tarajal. Line 2 keys one trip Monday to Saturday, one Sundays and holidays only and one via Antigua, so a Betancuria day is chosen from the note on the row, not the time alone.

Betancuria: the inland day

The old capital sits in a valley on line 2 from Puerto del Rosario, whose route map names a stop Entra Betancuri in both directions. Three trips a day each way, one of them Sundays and holidays only: the board on the Betancuria page shows the trip for your exact date, and the return is fixed before you go. The Archaeological Museum is free and opens Tuesday to Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday, Visit Fuerteventura says. From Corralejo or Caleta de Fuste, reach the station first on line 6 or 3.

Cofete: a bus that behaves like an expedition

Line 111 leaves Morro Jable twice a day over the dirt track, every day of the week, and comes back twice, the return from Cofete printed only as an estimate; TIADHE says seats cannot be reserved. Visit Fuerteventura calls Cofete's ocean rough, a beach to walk rather than swim. From Puerto del Rosario with line 10 it is not a day trip to count on. Treat it as an outing you are ready to abandon, or book a Cofete tour with a confirmed pickup.

Not by bus: Lobos, the lagoons and the volcanoes

Lobos is a boat from Corralejo harbour with the Cabildo's landing permit, booked through LobosPass; the bus ends at the harbour. The lagoons and lighthouse beyond El Cotillo, the Lajares volcano trails and the interior viewpoints are walks from the nearest stop. The Sotavento lagoon's stop is suspended, and Mal Nombre is reached from the coast-road stop Tierra Dorada with care. A booked excursion with a confirmed pickup is the honest answer for these; the bus is for the rest.

Questions people ask

What are the best day trips from Corralejo by bus?

El Cotillo on line 8, Puerto del Rosario and the dunes on line 6, and Betancuria with a change at the station onto a line 2 trip keyed for your day. Lobos and Lanzarote are boats from the harbour, not buses. Each has a page with the dated board for the way back.

Can I get from Caleta de Fuste to Corralejo and back in a day?

Yes, with one change each way at Puerto del Rosario bus station: line 3 then line 6 out, line 6 then line 3 back, every day including Sundays and holidays from their own tab. TIADHE prints no arrival times and the lines are not timed to meet, so the journey guide's board is read with a margin, and the return before the tight one.

Checked TIADHE lines 3, 6 TIADHE: TIADHE timetable sheets, read 12 October 2026 (ledger)

Is Cofete possible as a day trip without a car?

From Morro Jable, yes, on line 111's two daily departures each way, with the return printed only as an estimate and no reservable seat; from anywhere further north it is not a day trip to count on. A booked Cofete tour is the alternative that confirms its own pickup.

The other half of the plan

And the way back.

Pick the bus back from the tab for your day before you leave, add the change at Puerto del Rosario if you have one, remember TIADHE times only the ends of each line, and take the departure before the tight one. The getting-back guide has the method; the destination page has the board.
